Was there ever a special teacher that made a huge difference in your life? There sure were several in my life, but the one that sticks out the most was my sixth grade teacher. I had a rough start to my educational journey. In kindergarten I was so very sick. I had pneumonia three times that year and missed many days of school. Because of all the days missed in school I fell behind in my learning. By the time I was in fifth grade I had almost caught up with the rest of the kids. By the time I entered sixth grade I was a shy 12 year old and didn't have many friends because of the shyness. My amazing sixth grade teacher put a stop to that. She made it easy for me to make new friends that year. Plus she made it really fun to learn new things in school. She was a sweet heart of a teacher and I'll never forget her commitment to her students. She boosted my self-esteem and helped me to excel in school. She has left me with a life long gift. Thanks Mrs. D. A few weeks ago a came across this fun site called MyLife. This site lets you search out people that you have lost contact with such as those memorable school teachers. I did my search through MyLife and did find my old sixth grade teacher. It looks like she is still living in my old home town. I'm so excited that I found her. Check out Mylife if your looking for people that have impacted your life. It's always nice to find out that they are doing well and are happy.

I think we all have people from our past we would love to be back in touch with.
What a lovely tribute to your teacher. They truly do influence us. I had several too. Wishing you happiness and a wonderful week ahead. Katherine
